FAQ

When will I receive my order?

For the majority of products, it normally takes up to 7 business days {most times even less}, from the day we receive the photo to the day it is shipped. (extra time required during the holiday season and for collages). Please make sure your email account is accepting mail from "info@fusionlooks.com" Many times we try to correspond with a customer and our email gets lost in a spam filter. If that happens it can possibly delay your order.

What is the cost of shipping?

Shipping to the Continental USA is FREE. We are all in this economy together and FREE shipping to the Continental USA is our way of saying thank you for spending your hard earned money with Fusion Looks.

Do you ship to APO/FPO?

Yes. We support our troops and gladly ship to APO/FPO. Please understand that our shipping times may be a bit different than normal since we have no control after the package goes overseas.

Where are your products made?

We are in South Carolina and all of our products are made in the USA. Every dollar spent at Fusionlooks.com stays in the USA and supports our jobs and our economy.

What is the difference between knitted, woven, and fleece photo blankets?

A knitted throw is knitted from yarn while the woven ones are woven with thread. The knitted throws do not have a fringe, the woven ones have fringe on all four sides. In both cases the image is woven or knitted to become part of the textile. In the case of fleece the image is printed on the fabric.

Will the picture fade with washing?

The image will not fade or wash off any product since the image is not printed. It is true knitted or woven fabric.

I've done my own collage....will it work?

Please don't attempt to do it without contacting us first. There are specific sizes that must be adhered to when these throws are produced. Call or email us first before ordering anything you have put together. We are always available to help.

What are the care instructions for the photo blankets?

Machine wash in cold water. Air dry, gentle cycle. And of course, you should never use bleach when washing this product.

What types of payment do you accept?
We gladly accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express. We also accept PayPal, personal checks, and money orders.

How do I choose the best photo?

Almost any photo or flat artwork can be made into a PhotoThrow. The best results will come from a photo that is clear and has good contrast.

Photo Recommendations:

Image may be color or black-and-white. We will convert it to grayscale if it is going on a b/w throw. Photos where part of the subject is in dark shadow normally do not work. Photos that have good contrast and the subject is close up work best. You can't increase resolution if it was not there in the original scan. What appears great on a digital monitor might not translate well to a textile.

Composition:

Keep it simple. Make sure that your subject occupies 60-80% of the photo. This is not an absolute necessity, but it will make for a better finished piece.

What "dpi" settings should I use?

Photos should be scanned at 300dpi or better if possible. While 72dpi is great for the web or email, there is not enough resoulution for a quality photo blanket.

How about pictures made with my camera phone?

I would suggest you do not send these. They normally do not have enough resolution. This is changing with the advent of the newest phones but please contact us first.

How many images are recommended on a throw?

There is no hard and fast rule and it really depends upon the composition of each photo. For example12 images with one person in them may work well on a collage but 2 images of a 40 member team will not.

Can my photo be cropped?

We will crop your photograph when required or requested. We will crop your photo to focus on the main subject and leave out less important areas. By doing so, you receive a better product. Please do not try to crop your photos, many times we need some headroom or sideroom on the product. We are happy to handle the cropping for you.

Can I get a proof of the product?

Proofs will be provided after the order is placed if you so request. We will work with you to get the best possible throw and your input is appreciated. Please understand that the proof is only an approximation of the LAYOUT of the final product. It is impossible to show the exact final picture as the knitting or weaving process and the software needed to produce the throw WILL alter the finished product from the proof. Please check your email for the proof and also check to make sure your email client is not blocking or catching our address in a spam filter. You will get the proof from us normally within 24 hours of placing your order.

Can I print the picture and then mail or scan it to you?

Pictures produced on injet printers will not work for a throw.

Is the site secure?

We are a secure site and use either ITransact or PayPal for credit card processing. We are PCI Compliant and your information is always sent securely and encrypted.

My order was voided but I see a charge on my statement

Actually, this scenario is quite common. When a card is authorized, the card issuing bank will see it and display it as such online. When a customer sees that, they often mistake it for an actual charge. If the transaction was voided it won't actually appear on their statement at month end but does appear as an authorization for a few days until it drops off. There is a difference between an authorization and a settled transaction and it won't appear as an actual charge on your monthly statement.
